IITM AOC Team at ITU-T SG15

The AOC Team from IIT Madras made its first in-person participation at the ITU-T SG15 meeting, marking a key milestone for India in global optical communication standardization. The team submitted five technical contributions—including two new work item proposals, two invited papers, and one supporting document—under Working Party 2 (WP2) on optical fibers, cables, and transport systems.

This engagement strengthens India’s role in international standardization and supports the development of next-generation optical communication technologies.
